Sir Ratan Tata Trust and Sir Dorabji Tata Trust hold a major share in Tata Sons, and the board meetings of the two trusts are postponed due to legal issues. First, the meeting was scheduled on 8th May to review the reassessment of nominee directors.
But, at the last minute, the meeting was called off, and the next meeting is planned on 16th May. First, it was decided on 12th May, but due to some reasons, the meeting will now be held on 16th May. The purpose of the meeting is to discuss the statements given by two vice chairmen, Srinivasan and Vijay Singh, due to which there is an internal review meeting for the nominees and the position of the trust.
Also, the matter related to the complaint to the charity commissioner on the perpetual trustees by Advocate Katyayani Agrawal and renewal of Vijay Singh as a board member of Tata Sons. The meeting is related to the appointment of a nominee, and it needs the support of both the Tata Trusts, that is, SRTT and SDTT.
