On 7th October, an IndiGo flight traveling from Patna to Ahmedabad was struck by lightning that struck the aircraft's nose at 17,000 feet, and the front section of Indigo airline got crushed. The Indigo flight pilot acted wisely and diverted the flight to Lucknow and landed safely at the Lucknow airport. Passengers were given the option to take another flight or get a refund on their airline tickets from Patna to Ahmedabad.
