PM Modi has ordered SPG (Special Protection Group) to reduce his convoy size by 50 percent during his domestic visits and only use two vehicles. During his recent visit to Assam and Gujarat, he had reduced the convoy vehicles. This significant shift is due to Prime Minister Modi's urge to Indians to contribute towards economic stability and reduce foreign exchange. Due to the ongoing US-Iran tensions, gas and fuel supply have stopped, and this is the reason why Modi reduced his convoy size and asked his security to use electric vehicles. Modiji has ordered his officials not to buy any new vehicles and is using Range Rover and Fortuner as his convoy, and both the SUVs offer safety.

Following the footsteps of PM, Amit Shah, the Union Minister has reduced his convoy to half. This move is in line with the PM's urge to adopt sustainable alternatives like electric vehicles due to the ongoing West Asia tensions and to reduce the dependence on imported diesel and petrol.
