ED Gets Custody of Senior Officials of Reliance Anil Ambani Group Under Reliance Communications Ltd and Reliance Infrastructure Ltd.
Under the PMLA (Prevention of Money Laundering Act,2002), the ED gets custody of Gautam Doshi and Sateesh Seth, senior officials of the Anil Ambani Group involving Reliance Communications Ltd, Reliance Telecom and Reliance Infrastructure Ltd.
ED arrested Group Managing Directors of the Reliance Anil Ambani Group under the PMLA, 2002, in which Seth was arrested in an Enforcement Case Information Report to Reliance Infrastructure Ltd, while Doshi was arrested on a report related to Reliance Communications Ltd and others.
Seth holds key directorial positions within the group for road construction and other infrastructure projects taken by Reliance Infrastructure Ltd. Also, Doshi played a huge role in building corporate structures that used to divert the crime from Reliance Telecom and Reliance Communications.
Doshi had a role to look after compliance, planning functions, risk management, and taxation, while Seth worked for several power and infrastructure projects, according to the ED. Seth was presented in Dwarka at the special court in New Delhi, while Doshi was presented at Rouse Avenue Special PMLA Court in New Delhi and given remand to ED custody for five days, while Doshi is remanded into ED custody for six days. The investigation is further being carried out by the Enforcement Directorate.
