The government of India has banned Telegram for a week to avoid the spread of the NEET-UG 2026 paper leak. Telegram is replying to users in a sarcastic way. Also, Telegram replied from its official X account to a user who said, " Thank your government for being so competent. Telegram has also shared a screenshot that showed it had blocked 109,351 terrorist related communities in 2026. In another comment, a user wrote: Telegram trolling the government was not on my list, and Telegram replied to that comment: Wasn't on mine either. Pavel Durov, CEO of Telegram, said a one-week punishment has affected 150 million ordinary users and not the insiders who leaked the NEET-UG 2026 paper. Further stating that the ban has not affected anything; rather, the NEET-UG 2026 paper leak has shifted to other apps.
