DGCA is developing a portal called eGCA to report aviation incidents that will help process and submit mandatory occurrence reporting. This will help to improve India's aviation safety oversight. DGCA is working to introduce a digital platform to facilitate electronic processing and submission of mandatory occurrence reports. Civil Aviation Minister said that DGCA monitors compliance with civil aviation needs and aviation regulations that cover all airport operators. This oversight process includes spot checks, night surveillance, and regulatory audits. This will help to redistribute capacity across different sectors during the Pahalgam incident or COVID outbreak.
