The Jharkhand government has taken charge of the delay in government employee payment matters. Finance Department and offices are directed to ensure timely payments of employees. Prashant Kumar, Finance Secretary, has ordered the follow-up of the Jharkhand Treasury Code, 2016, so that employees receive their payment on time. The department took serious action when it got to know that some department officials are receiving late payments. On the 25th of every month, the bills will be deposited in the treasury, and they will be cleared on the last working day till the further amendment. All the officers, including Deputy Commissioners, Secretaries, Principal Secretaries and Additional Chief Secretaries, have received the order.
